Union ministers participate in an organised campaign of hatred against a 20-year old girl

gurme1

The current online campaign of hatred against Gurmehar Kaur is clearly orchestrated from the top of this Government, as it was in the case of Aamir Khan. Yesterday, after she raised her voice against the ABVP terror in Indian campuses, the sangh trolls started threatening her and issuing rape threats to her. Virender Sehwag, Randeep Hooda and others joined in the fun, targeting her viciously, probably for personal gains.

And then came the Union Ministers, to attack a 20-year old girl, the daughter of a Kargil martyr, for voicing her thoughts. The tweets by Kiren Rijiju and Vijay Goel expose how deeply this Government is involved in this organised troll attack on the girl.

Here is the complete text of what Gurmehar Kaur said in that video. Shown in red is the part-sentence that was taken out to troll her.

Soon, we might hear Manohar Parrikar boasting about how “our boys” took down a girl who dared to raise her voice. The others who have posted their tweets are all connected to the BJP IT cell. Do remember what one ex-BJP troll confessed in Swati Chathurvedi’s book I Am A Troll: Inside The Secret World Of The BJP’s Digital Army . All of the troll attacks are organised right from the top and many of these trollers are followed by the Prime Minister of India.

Quoting from a scroll article on the book – “Chaturvedi’s piece de resistance, so to speak, in the book is the testimony of Sadhavi Khosla, a technology entrepreneur who spent two years volunteering for the BJP’s social media efforts, but gave up eventually in disgust at what she – and many others like her – were being asked to do, and chose to tell her story to Chaturvedi. Almost predictably, the BJP IT cell, through its former head Arvind Gupta, has denied that Khosla was part of the party’s social media cell.

Khosla, too, reveals, what was already known: for instance, that attacks on certain journalists – among them Barkha Dutt, Sagarika Ghosh, and Rajdeep Sardesai – and the concerted campaigns against Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were carried out under instructions. Khosla is a case study for a specific reason: she tells Chaturvedi she belongs to a family loyal to the Congress, and embraced the original offer to join the BJP’s campaign – but was gradually disillusioned as she was asked to target individuals.”

This is what Khosla reveals in another interview to Caravan

“What I disliked was that, in those groups, there was continuous hate directed at minorities, some journalists, and anyone else who has opposing views. When the head of the NDOC [referring to Arvind Gupta] sends me direct WhatsApp messages saying, sign the petition to remove Aamir Khan from the Snapdeal campaign, what does that mean? [Chaturvedi’s book includes a screenshot of a message that Arvind Gupta allegedly sent Khosla, encouraging her to sign a petition asking Snapdeal to remove Aamir Khan from their advertisements.] When the head sends you messages with hashtags for the day and targets for the day, what does it mean? No one is forcing me to do work, but it means that the heads of these organisations are endorsing such views. To me, it becomes the official line.

KN: Was there a marked difference in the hate campaigns targeting women and those targeting men?
SK: When Barkha Dutt’s book came [Dutt’s book, This Unquiet Land, was released in December 2015], the entire [WhatsApp] group was full of posts and plans to make sure that her book was a flop. It is not like anybody was made to tweet in any particular way. There would be targets and agenda, and the volunteers and employees would themselves go out and tweet. The PM till date follows some of the most abusive people online. Should a prime minister be doing that?

At that particular point in time, people who are at the helm of the BJP affairs managed those groups. When Mrs [Sonia] Gandhi was in the hospital, I read some of the tweets wishing her death—it was obnoxious. When [the senior Congress leader] Digvijay Singh’s daughter died, I felt very bad, being a parent [myself], but there was so much abuse even on that day.

KN: Were the other campaigns similar to the Snapdeal campaign?
SK: As I mentioned, there were campaigns against Shah Rukh Khan and the journalists Barkha Dutt and Rajdeep Sardesai. This was what made me disillusioned with the [NDOC’s] work. Their policy was that they would bring down opponents and people with differing views to such a low level, and present themselves as larger than life. For me, the biggest shocker was that suddenly Aamir and Shah Rukh— among people like my friends, who are apolitical—have become “Muslims.” I have watched [the actors] while growing up, and they were our stars. I never thought of them as Muslims.”

KN: How involved do you think the prime minister was with the other party members’ onlinecampaigns?
SK: I am only assuming that he was. I was told that he was overseeing all social media campaigns because there was so much at stake for him. I give a lot of credit to the social media army for Modi’s victory. I was also told [by people at the NDOC] that he had frequent phone calls with Arvind Gupta and other seniors at the NDOC.

KN: During your time at the NDOC, did you raise objections to some of the tweets that were put out by abusive trolls?
SK: Yes. I had tweeted that the same social media army that led to his victory will bring him down one day. I had very seriously objected to these hate campaigns and was never a part of any myself. I wrote my objections on Twitter and tagged the PM and the NDOC. I said on a public platform that this is wrong and we should not be doing this. Even while supporting Modi, I consistently raised objections. I did not have the sort of access where I could complain to anyone directly.

KN: Was there a tipping point or a moment that finally made you quit?
SK: In my mind, I had quit at the beginning of January 2015. I am an activist and I tweeted to the PM about the drug-abuse issue in Punjab. I have also made a documentary on the issue [Khosla’s documentary, titled Fading Glory, was released in early 2016]. The PM’s silence when I reached out to him was the beginning of my disenchantment. I think the Aamir Khan case was the tipping point for me.

Right-Wingers target popular Malayalam actor Manju Warrier for acting in biopic on writer Kamala Das

manju

Manju Warrier

Popular Malayalam actor Manju Warrier is the latest target of the Sangh Parivar in Kerala. Over the past two days, her facebook page has been filled with abusive comments and even threats, over her decision to act in filmmaker Kamal’s biopic on writer Kamala Das (Madhavikutty), titled ‘Aami’.

Vidya Balan, who was earlier set to play the role, backed out of the project, five days before the shoot was to begin. There have been rumours that she backed out due to pressure from the Sangh, as they have a bone to pick with Kamal, who is also the Chairman of the Government’s film body Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, which organises the International Film Festival of Kerala. During the last IFFK in December 2016, there was a controversy over the arrest of a few festival delegates, who had refused to stand up during the National Anthem. Kamal had said that National Anthem should be respected, but the police should avoid entering the theatres and taking action.

Filmmaker Kamal

The RSS and BJP used this as an excuse to pick on him and organised protest marches to his house and started targeting him relentlessly. Calling him by his full name ‘Kamaluddeen’, which Kamal has never used and the majority in the state never knew about, they even accused him of having terrorist links. The BJP State General Secretary A.N.Radhakrishnan said that he should get out of the country.

So, when Manju Warrier announced her decision to act in his film, she naturally became a target of all the hatred. The subject of the film has also has enough to irritate the Sangh Parivar. Madhavikutty, one of Kerala’s most celebrated women writers, had through her works openly expressed female desire and sexuality, offending the powerful conservative sections in the state. In 1999, ten years before she passed away, she converted to Islam and changed her name to Kamala Surayya, causing considerable uproar in the state. It is this part of her history that offends the Sangh Parivar particularly. They see this as “Love Jihad”, the name that they have given to their fake propaganda against inter-religious marriages.

Left: Kamala Das (madhavikutty) Right: Kamala Surayya, after her conversion to Islam
Left: Kamala Das (madhavikutty), Right: Kamala Surayya, after her conversion to Islam

The attacks on Manju Warrier has concentrated on this aspect mostly. The online sangh trollers have accused Kamal of trying to convert Manju Warrier to Islam, by giving her this role. Some have warned the filmmaker and the actor against portraying this final act of her life. They ask Kamal whether he would have made a film on the writer, had she not converted. Some have said that now they understand why Manju’s real life husband, actor Dileep, left her.

“In your youth, you betrayed your parents. Later, you betrayed your husband and family for riches. Now, you have become a tool for Jihadism, under the garb of communism, and have betrayed your own Hindu community,” says one comment.

“You have now covered your head with the piece of cloth that Vidya Balan threw away after cleaning her ass. Anyway, good for you. We have to promote ‘sickularism’ even by selling our honour.”

The attacks have been relentless, so much so that the actor had to come out with a statement requesting people to see films as just films. She has maintained a rather weak, neutral stand regarding the issue, despite the vile abuses.

Incidentally, the actor had performed classical dance during the cultural events held as part of the BJP’s National Conference in Kozhikode last year.

Moral policing will not be tolerated, says Kerala CM

Pinarayi-Vijayan-profile.jpg.image.975.568.jpg

The Kerala Chief Minister has directed the State Police Chief to take stringent action against those acting as moral polices. In a facebook post today evening, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the direction was given following recent incidents of moral policing in various parts of the state.

“Instructions have been given to file a case in the recent incident of moral policing at Azheekkal beach in Karunagappally on Valentine’s Day, when a group physically and mentally harrassed a couple, shot these using mobile cameras and uploaded in the internet. The couple were seen begging for mercy, even as the moral police continued their assault. The language used by the attackers was atrocious and devoid of any culture. No one has been given the right to harrass or physically handle any member of the public, whatever be the situation they are found in. The fact that they chose to spread these clippings through the internet is also a serious violation of the law. I have also given instructions to take action against the person who uploaded the clip on the internet,” said the CM in the facebook post.

In a reference to the recent incident of a few members of the CPI(M)’s own student organisation SFI involving themselves in moral policing, he said that everyone should understand the serious consequences if groups of people started policing couples sitting together in campuses, parks or other public places, shot their videos and spread it as visuals of some immoral activity. This kind of criminal behaviour will not be allowed in Kerala, he said in the post.

BJP worker arrested in Kerala over murder of Yuva Morcha worker

BJP protest.jpeg

BJP’s protest march in Thrissur on Tuesday over the murder of Nirmal

The Kerala BJP leadership stands exposed yet again on its claims of political murders by CPI(M), as the police have now said that the latest incident of the murder of Yuva Morcha worker Nirmal in Thrissur is not a case of political rivalry. Among the five accused that the police have taken into custody is a BJP worker too. The BJP had on Monday observed a harthal in Thrissur distrct accusing the CPI(M) of having orchestrated the murder.

Nirmal, a 20-year old worker of the Yuva Morcha, was stabbed during a temple festival in Mannuthi. The Police have now arrested five people regarding this murder – Sooraj, Siddhu, Yesudas, Arun and Sachin. Arun from Ilanjikkulam is an active worker of the BJP, said the Police. According to the police, the murder was the result of personal rivalries. A dispute regarding the “Kummaattikali” performance as part of the festival led to the murder.

Tweets by BJP State President Kummanam Rajasekharan and National leader Meenakshi Lekhi on the murder.

With the news of the murder having no political tinge to it coming out, the BJP is facing heat in social media and elsewhere for putting troubling the public with harthals, making false claims. The BJP has in the past two months called for 10 harthals in different districts of Kerala, over various issues. Last month, a similar situation played out in Neyyatinkara in Thiruvananthapuram district, where the BJP called for a harthal after the death of a man, who barely had any connection to the BJP. It was later revealed that the murder was due to disputes over the sale of jackfruits and had no political connections.

The BJP has been trying to create an impression in the national media that its cadres are facing violence across Kerala. However, contrary to these reports, the RSS cadres have been found to be involved in many murderous attacks on left cadres in different parts of the state.

Kerala RSS/BJP’s “Love Jihad Help Desk” – Secret chats leaked!

The RSS-BJP in Kerala is now facing a major embarrassment after chat messages from a secret sangh group called “Love Jihad Help Desk” were leaked online two days back. The chats came to light when two non-sanghis got accidentally got added to the group and they took screenshots of conversations, before they were thrown out. The group has everyone from State BJP President Kummanam Rajasekharan to channel studio sanghi Rahul Easwar, “independent” dalit activist Dhanya Raman, popular online sanghi Lekshmi Kanath and even musician Njeralath Harigovindan, who has even took part in a meet against fascism last year.

The secret group, from the conversations, has been formed to alert about “love jihad incidents” (read – inter-religious marriages) happening in kerala and to take steps to prevent it. One message in the group posted on January 8, for instance, says – “Two Muslim youths have started their journey with two beautiful Hindu girls from Thalassery to Bangalore in the 9.30 p.m. bus. There were a group of bearded men to see them off. On seeing us Swayamsevaks with rakhis on our wrist, they quickly left the area” The details of the bus, including number, colour and travels name is also shared, asking the Swayamsevaks in bangalore to “take action”.
Dalit activist Dhanya Raman, is seen giving “thumbs up” to a suggestion that the group should be used only for the purpose of Love Jihad propaganda.

The chats also reveal infighting between the various sangh activists. One Mr.Jayakanthan is criticised for his facebook posts criticising Modi for his favours to corporates like Ambani and Adani. There are also discussions on how some mad RSS men are giving all of them a bad image by their actions. They also discuss about “moles” in the group and on the need for an even more secretive group for confidential discussions. Another discussion is on an online campaign to create a propaganda that the sanghis are being hounded by the left in Kerala.

The point is, this is just one group for a single purpose- Love Jihad propaganda. The sangh is running hundreds of such groups to co-ordinate their activities to spread hatred in Kerala. What we have not seen is even worse!

(Many of the dialogues are in English. We have given english translations for a few Malayalam lines)

Update –

Dhanya Raman has now put up an FB post of a complaint that she has lodged with the range IG regarding the report. In the cleverly worded letter, she does not even mention the name of the group – Love Jihad Help Desk- or say that the posts are fake or that she was not a member. She just talks about death threats against her and news items published to tarnish her image.

However, soon after she put up this post, her lies were exposed in the comments section, when people put up screenshots of the list of members of the Love Jihad group. It clearly showed that dhanya.raman was a member of the group. This is a unique name code which no one else shares. Also, there is no fake account of Dhanya raman in facebook with the same profile picture.

The fact that these screenshots were genuine, were confirmed by Rahul Easwar in a facebook post  , which asked readers to see how all his comments in the group were moderate, and not communal in nature. So, it is confirmed that such a group exists and these people were part of it.

An open letter to the CA who wrote an open letter to Kejriwal

kejriwal

This is a direct response to the open letter penned by Chartered Accountant Mehul Shah to Kejriwal, over the demonetisation issue. The letter was shared widely by Modi bhakts. But, it is full of logical fallacies and factual errors. This post, penned by an anonymous friend of ours, is a point by point response to the letter. The red coloured parts are from the original open letter. The responses are in black colour.

************
I am a practicing Chartered Accountant, aged 28, from Surat, and I was hoping that you would support the notification for demonetisation of currency and was very eager for your reaction. You entered politics supporting any small move to reduce black money and corruption, this, after all, was a very big and bold move.

But after going through the video released yesterday, my expectations from AAP as a common man were shattered once again. I believed that a person of your stature and designation would spread positivity without any ifs and buts to make this mega clean-up drive possible and help the common man in mitigating the problems rather than nagging them. Hence, I would like to bring to your knowledge the following points:

Point 1

As you have stated in your video that it took you two full days to understand the various aspects of the scheme. Even after consultation with various experts, you could not understand the logic of why Rs 2,000 notes were released instead of Rs 1,000. I would like to make an attempt to tender my best possible logic (please enlighten me if I am wrong somewhere) as follows:

Let us take 2 scenarios to understand the logic:

Scenario A: If as per your suggestion, Rs 2,000 notes are not issued, but only new Rs 1,000 notes are issued. Lets say, for example X has Rs 1,00,000 black money in 100 old notes of Rs 1,000 each. X divides Rs 1,00,000 into 10 equal bundles, each comprising of 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 each and puts each stack on a table. On Day 1, in the morning, X would deposit the first bundle i.e. 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 valued at Rs 10,000 in the bank and in the evening, he would withdraw 10 new notes of Rs 1,000 again valued at Rs 10,000 and put it in the locker in his house. Now the real game starts. On Day 2, in the morning, X would deposit the second bundle of 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 valued at Rs 10,000. However, in his books of accounts submitted to the Income Tax Department, he will show that he has deposited the same 10 new notes which was withdrawn on Day 1 evening (which is actually still lying in the locker of his house). On Day 2 evening, X would again withdraw 10 new notes of Rs 1,000 valued at Rs 10,000 and keep the same in the locker. So at the end of Day 2, X has Rs 80,000 on the table in old notes and Rs 20,000 in new notes in the locker. Now, Day 3 will come in next week as limit of Rs 20,000 per week. The same exercise will continue till Day 10 and by the end of Day 10, X will have no old notes and Rs 1,00,000 in 100 new Rs 1, 000 notes in the locker.

However, to the Income Tax Department, X has shown that he was having only Rs 10,000 as black money initially ( i.e. one bundle of 10 notes of Rs 1,000) and he has rotated the same Rs 10,000 by depositing it into the bank account in the morning and withdrawing it in the evening and again redepositing the same on next day and so on. Thus, X has paid tax only on initial Rs 10,000 whereas he has managed to convert all his black money of Rs 1,00,000 into new notes. This modus operandi is called Peak Theory i.e. the theory of rotation of the same money which is accepted by most of the high courts and tribunals. The Revenue Department is also sometimes helpless to catch X because the above scenario can also occur in genuine cases where you withdraw money from the bank to purchase something and then when you think that no good deal is available, you may again deposit the same money into your bank account and hence logically are not required to pay tax again.
Disclaimer: At time of writing this letter, it was known that the bank deposit slip did not have bifurcation between old and new notes and is based on the assumption that AIR information to AO will also contain information about total cash deposits.

Response
Your point number 1 , Scenario A is full of assumptions. If you have gone to any bank to deposit money let alone be a CA, you might have noticed that there is a form at the back of the Chalan which asks for the denomination in which the cash is being deposited. Since the introduction of the new 2000 rupee note was a surgical strike, there is no column to support the deposition of 2000 rupees which has become legal tender and the bank has to accept it from midnight 09/11/2016. So bank employee will have to write it at the back of the chalan. Similarily when a bundle of old 1000 rupee notes is entered into the bank, the employee will note it next to the denomination column in the deposit slip that the notes are old currency. This is not cumbersome and can be accomplished by issuing a notification to the bank employees. Any bank account having a series of such transactions can be extracted by writing an SQL query which the techies among your propaganda group may be able to help you with. Hence your argument of untraceability of repeated transactions is null and void.
***************

Scenario B: Watch what happens when PM issues new Rs 2,000 notes instead of Rs 1,000
X deposits first bundle of 10 old notes lying on the table in the bank on Day 1 morning and then he withdraws five new notes Rs 2,000 in the evening and keeps it in the locker. Now on Day 2 morning, when he goes to deposit second bundle of 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 each and wrongly shows the Income Tax Department based on cash book that he has redeposited the same money which was withdrawn on Day 1 evening – Bingo! He is caught red-handed because if the Assessment Officer (AO) inquires, the bank slip on Day 2 submitted shows deposition of 10 notes of Rs 1,000 each whereas the government knows that X could never have withdrawn on Day 1 any note of Rs 1,000 because they were never printed. The above examples are described to understand the concept of rotation of money and the fact that no tax is levied on redeposit. Although it is not that in Scenario A, X can “never” be caught, however, the probability of getting caught is quite low because the audited cash book submitted to him shows rotation of the same cash and the process of inquiry with banks and their internal MIS would be way too tedious for any I-T Officer in scrutiny because withdrawals and deposits are natural processes for anyone. Mooreover, the common man would not like to be always looked upon with suspicion and even if I-T officer inquires about the denominations of deposit in Scenario A, he would not be able to have any adverse view on initial inquiry as the bank slip for deposit may not contain any differentiation of old and new notes, but simply contain 10 * 1000.

Response
Your argument agrees that there is a bank slip for deposition. Good for starters. In the reverse of that slip there is no column for 2000 rupee notes, which has become legal tender and the bank has to accept it from midnight 09/11/2016. So that has to be hand written which will make the transactions more cumbersome. Also its is easier to write old or new next to the column for 1000 rupee notes that is already there rather than to create a new entry for 2000 rupees by hand.

BTW what you said to be peak theory is infact close to it, but it is not what peak theory is. Peak theory means that the tax assessee will argue that the largest transaction among a series of reciprocating transactions is the original one and the rest are just iterations with the same money and hence he should be assessed base on the peak valued transaction alone and not the sum of the deposits. Here  in your scenarios, it is not the peak transaction but the first transaction that is claimed to be the original one.

****************
Even if the above explanation is hypothetical, it shows that such on-paper rotations may be attempted or many other jugaad are also possible using the same theory, so we should rather rely on and respect the PM of our country who is elected through clear democratic majority and have confidence that he would have taken this decision in the best interest of the country.

Stop selling emotional blackmail coated in your pseudo-logic. Relying on and respecting your PM could also have been done in the time of the previous PM which I never saw you criticising Kejriwal for not doing. PM has to be criticised. He has been elected and paid salary for doing our job. His salary comes from the tax that we pay. He is a public servant. Public have all right to question him. This is a democracy.

*************
Making any other alternative like having bank slip show the bifurcation of notes into old and new as you might argue would make the process more cumbersome and lengthy and bank queue will increase further.

How can you say that making ‘any’ alternative as ‘you’ might think will make the process cumbersome? How can you gauge ‘any’ alternative that Kejriwal thinks will be wrong? Noting ‘old’ in a remittance slip may take at max 2 seconds. Putting a cross might take one second lesser. That is not going to make the process any more difficult.
***************
Someone may also argue that serial number on notes may be tracked, but you know that I-T officials have many other things to investigate than sit back and tally the serial numbers of notes deposited and when majority of the taxpayers are honest citizens and hence you would not like to harass all taxpayers to prove whether rotation in their bank statement is genuine or not. But the best way is to go for a strategic decision to discourage the rotation of money by keeping lower withdrawal limits and at the same time deferring the printing of Rs 1,000 note as taken by our prime minister.

What is the point of issuing smaller amount of money in a bigger denomination? How does higher withdrawal limit lead to tax evasion by rotation? Is cash rotation the only way of tax evasion? Did you ever have the minimum compassion to think how it will affect general public, especially weaker sections like daily wages labourers?

****************
If we disregard the above theory of discouragement of rotation of money, another strategy may be to call back all Rs 2,000 notes after two-three years once the new Rs 1,000 notes are in circulation.

Already people are dying standing in the queue and you are expecting another demonetisation. Either This is the height of stupidity or You are diabolical

*****************

This will further keep a check on corruption which many have already questioned. This is because the businessman who have managed bogus accomodation entries to make money white in this period are likely to reverse the entries and get them converted into Rs 2,000 notes in 17 January.

Tell me how any entry in the bank can be reversed? Only a new transaction can be made.

******************
Also with inflation, the value of Rs 1,000 notes had gone down so induction of a new higher denomination had become necessary. The US has $100 note whereas UK has €50 both valued around Rs 6,000

What the heck does exchange rate have to with inflation in India? US is having $100 for a long time. They have held the top currency at $200. $100 is not much in US.
*******************

Another simple logic is to save the printing and transportation cost compared to it’s face value because much cost has gone into securing that fake notes of Rs. 2000 are not easily printed.

As per the latest press releases of RBI, no additional security has been incoporated into the new 2000rupee note. (Nano-GPS is not there. Wake up, it was a hoax.) Now you think about the printing and transportation cost of replacing 86% of the currency in circulation. You will get some idea.  Also considering that printing and transportation costs are half for the same amount of value plus lack of additional safety features make counterfeiting the new 2000 rupee note double in profit.
********************
ATM cash be stuffed with more cash which is the need of the hour.

True that. But loss of liquidity and convertibility is a bigger issue.
********************

Further, the fact that when someone is holding the new Rs 2,000 note, he is psychologically getting a sense that the country is in the growth phase.

That might be for Andh-Bhakts like you. For any sensible person, it means inflation and devaluation of currency.
*****************
Messages are also being circulated not to write anything on new notes. Imagine if the government would have never issued new higher denominations notes with inflation and growth we would still be dealing with annas and pavlis.

Then why the US is still sticking with $200bill as the largest denomination? BTW what about the claims that Modi has brought inflation under controll. In your previous argument you said that the comman man should feel happy and proud of inflation. Now you see inflation as an epitome of growth. Wah re Chameleon.
********************

Sir, the above example also gives you an explanation as to why the withdrawal limit is kept so low and you should educate people who are standing in long queues and nagging about low withdrawal limits and explain how higher withdrawal limit may lead to more rotations and tax evasions.

You are beating about the bush. What is the point of issuing smaller amount of money in a bigger denomination? How does higher withdrawal limit lead to tax evasion? Educate me. You have repeated your statement hence I have repeated my question.
*********************

Though the above modus operandi can still be done with Rs 500 note, however, as mentioned the incentive would be less because X cannot withdraw more than Rs 10,000 in a day and even if he withdraws Rs 10,000, there is every possibility that banks will give X, Rs 2,000 note.

How can the incentive be less when the amount that is evaded is same ie. 10k eventhough it is in 500 rupee notes? Do you even hear yourself while blabbering?

As I said, even if the bank is giving him 2k note, as per you logic, he can deposit 10k old notes and still claim that he had deposited the five 2k notes which had withdrawn the prevous day. If it can be identified by  marking in the deposit slip, then old and new 1k notes can also be marked by putting simple signs like ‘+’ or ‘O’.

Also there is still same possibility that he will be paid in 500 rupees notes as well.
*********************
And believe me Sir, each and every condition in the notification takes care of the problems that are likely to be faced by citizens and at the same time makes sure that such sophisticated theories are not resorted to by black money hoarders, but questioning everything in the name of freedom of expression may create panic or bring out loopholes in notifications and hamper the success of reforms.

Since everything has been ‘taken care of’, the government is forced to change the rules and limits of transactions on a daily basis. So much for their taking care skills
**********************

Point 2
Sir, you have again criticised and stated in the video that printing Rs 2,000 note will help to increase corruption because stacking those Rs 2,000 notes would require lesser space as compared to stacking Rs 1,000 notes.

In this regard, I would like to ask, have you come across any case where the “babus” have not taken any bribe and have worked honestly because they had a small bag which could not be fitted with Rs 1,000 notes?

Or have you come across any businessman who has declared unaccounted money solely because there was no space to keep those Rs 1,000 notes.

A new case has been registered in Gujarat this week where a bribe of 2.9lakhs was caught and found to be completely in notes of 2000 rupees. Kejriwal’s argument is valid. it is easier to hide currency when denomination is higher. Double the density for the same mass means half the volume, remember high school physics? Also he did not claim that corruption will start with the introduction of the 2k note. He said that it will be easier with the 2k note. Your argument is a non sequitor and hence null and void.
****************
Point 3

As you have stated in the video, it is true that in spite of PM’s efforts, there will be dubious commission agents and unaccounted investment in gold through jewellers, but as far as I remember when the jewellers were on strike for 45 days, when our PM levied excise duty on gold in April 2016, it was you who supported their strike. It shows that whenever some changes are suggested to regulate a particular market, AAP opposes them and now you nag that the gold market is unregulated.

Already hawks are out in the market and the government is forced to track all gold transactions being done with pre-dated bills. There was a surge in the gold prices immediately after demonetisation which was later stabilised by fluctuations in the international market.

BTW How come increase in excise duty becomes a way of regulation? You are talking nonsense.
*************
In fact, I believe that the PM had a full blue print for the development of our country right from Day 1 of his getting elected, if I recall my last three years as a professional.

It is all in your head. Your belief is not a reason for Kejriwal or infact anybody to believe in Modi.
*************
Firstly, they asked for all the bank account numbers in your Return of Income. Then they linked your PAN with Aadhaar. They linked all the subsidies, pension and other benefits directly to your bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme. Then they gave opportunity to the common man to open a bank account through Jan Dhan Yojna.

True but irrelevant facts. Jan Dhan Yojana will not help those who have to walk tens of miles to reach a bank. Increasing the banking branches penetration into the village was necessary.

************
They entered into revised treaty with most of the countries in which unaccounted money goes through Hawala e.g. Mauritius and thus the route of black money coming from Mauritius which everyone knew is stopped.

Wrong!!! Mauritius route is still open. And don’t forget Panama. Also Swiss Bank list is not released yet. Atleast release the list of top willfull defaulters of Public Sector Banks.

************
They passed few strict laws to overcome the evil of black money such as Benami Transaction Act and Foreign Black Money Act. They levied excise duty on gold. They also made TCS compulsory for cash transactions above 2 lakhs. They withdrew lakhs of pending income tax and service tax litigation where the common man had won at appeal level and department had gone further. They also entered into information exchange agreement with such countries.

Then they gave last opportunity to all black money hoarders through Income Declaration Scheme, 2016.

The hailed Fair and Lovely Yojana which gave the underworld an opportunity to go legit. Declaring the souce is as important as declaing the amount. because it helps in stopping crime. This scheme has helped the corrupt and criminals whitewash their tainted money by paying protection money to the government.

***********
Now, they have a Scheme for Dispute Resolution Panel again to reduce litigation till December 2016.

Now the masterstroke, they have banned Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denominations.
AS per your imagination, for the rest it is master blunder.

*************
Not only the destination of this whole process is commendable but even the journey or the chronology of these events is interesting which explains the ultimate destination and who knows, may be the journey is still not over and the ultimate destination may still be the Swiss account holders.

Hope in the face of all surmounting counter-logic is the signature of the deluded.

Point 4

Further, you have stated in your video that penalty would be levied at the rate of 200 percent. The said statement has created panic and people have stated discounting their hard-earned cash.

That is as per the statement of Arun Jaitley. Jaitley only said that penalty will be levied at 200%. As per your PM’s logic, the honest peple need not fear for their hard earned cash, na? Then why is Kejriwal sorry Arun Jaitley able to scare people  who are having hard earned money?

****************
Being in Income Tax Department in the past, you ought to know that as per the present Income Tax Act, 1961 penalty is never levied on cash deposits but on “concealed income”. Hence, when the common man is depositing cash in hand which is duly accounted or out of his past savings and even out of unaccounted current years income whose return is yet to be filed, there will not be any penalty if there is no mismatch between returned income and assessed income. Even the government officials in their statement used the words “under-reporting” or “mismatch”. To understand the definition of “under-reporting”, Sir please refer Section 270A of the Income Tax Act or go through the following article:

Under-reporting is considered same as tax evasion by law. Quoting the Secton number of an act which most of your intended audience will possibly swallow without a pinch of salt wont make you correct. Also if the penalty of 200% is illegal, you should be writing an open letter to Arun Jaitley instead of Arvind Kejriwal.

************
No penalty on high denominations notes deposited into bank if such amount is declared in return of income by paying appropriate tax

Ok that is general knowledge.

**************
Instead, you could have encouraged the citizens to pay appropriate tax.

He has always done that? When has he done the contrary? Seems like you are a Don Quixote.

*******************
Point 5

Nowhere in the video have you stated anything relating to fake currency or counterfeit notes because you know that the issue of existing fake currency is solved foolproof.

He has said that in his initial statements. But after a few months fake currency of 2000 rupee notes will also be produced because, no additional safety feature has been incorporated into the new currency.

********************

Which situation would be better?

Scenario A: A labourer standing in queue to exchange notes from bank just for a few days.

The same labourer has been standing in the same queue without any avail.
*******************
Scenario B: A labourer working hard to get a fake note at the end of the day.

He will start getting fake notes after a few months. You can wait and watch.

**********************
The issue of terrorist funding is also tackled but you chose to remain silent on the same.

The terrorists in Mumbai attack had their money wired through internet banking. Stop reading those comics issued from your local Sangh Shakha.

**************
You have stated that Modiji should have infused Rs 100 note from before and it would have been you only to have said in this video that “Arre ATM se do din pehle se hi sirf Rs 100 ki note bahar aa rahi thi toh sab ko pata tha, yek koi secret nahi tha.”

Why are you imagining would have been situations and putting your words in his mouth. Let his speak his thoughts and you can refute them rather than imagining what he would have said and refuting kejriwal in your imagination. Typical Don Quixote!!! Remember that your purported identity is that of a 28 year old CA and not that of a mentalist or a psycho-analyst.

****************

Just a food for thought, what if new notes are printed with an expiry period of 10 years, 20 years and 30 years and so on and hence the same has to be deposited in banks before the expiry date. People are asking how do you reduce corruption after January 2017? This step will reduce corruption and reduce chaos at every deadlines as while I have few notes expiring now I shall also have few notes which are due expiry in the next 10 years and hence do not have to stand in long queue for withdrawals.

Keep holding to that thought while the rest of us think about how to get the country out of the shit that Modi has created.

**********************
Conclusion

Now Sir, if I am to believe that you really don’t understand these simple concepts even after consulting with experts for two days, I am deeply saddened because the common man believes that you are an IITian and have spent considerable amount of time in the Income Tax Department.

I have clearly established that you don’t know much about Income Tax, Accounting or even banking. So, nothing to say about it.

**************
On the contrary, if I am to believe that you already know the benefits of demonetisation which I first learnt in Standard 8 when the subject of economics was introduced to me and the concept of Peak Theory which is described by me above and which I learnt with my very limited experience while pursuing my profession of Chartered Accountancy, then I am more saddened and see the AAP party as more dangerous because I believe that above any religion, politics or reservations in any caste or creed, it will always be education which shall uplift the common man and it is the common man who have elevated you to a position where you are looked by millions as their idol and it is your duty to educate them and spread knowledge and not keep them in ignorance to preserve your vote bank.

Typical Sangh propaganda, playing to the gallery. Just like ManuSmriti Irani’s speech for Youtube. Good for Ekta Kapoor’s serials. You can try that since your accounting skills are apparently not that good. You are good at influencing fools with shallow brains by appealing to their emotions, hence I feel that you will be too good at writing soaps. I do agree with you on one point that your experience seems much limited.
***************
I am grateful to all my teachers who have selflessly shared their knowledge and some fellow members of CA fraternity who are playing an active role in creating awareness and educating the common man about the positive consequences of demonetisation true to the jewel crowned to the profession as “Partner in Nation Building” and

Hold on a moment. Your teachers have not taught you much of economics or accounting as evident by your foolish statements. Instead of thanking them, you should sue them for your tuition fees, which, I am pretty sure your parents would have payed with their hard earned white money after paying all the due taxes.
**************
I would, therefore, like to advise the citizens not to sell the notes at discounted prices or deposit the cash into bank accounts of other benami persons in fear of penalty. Further, do not claim any bogus expenses or bogus loss to gain more trouble. Do not manipulate accounts by creating bogus cash on hand. Be a sport and pay tax honestly to buy peace of building capital.

Salute!!! Hope the guys who lended helicopters for Modi’e electoral campaign would listen to you.

Beefunist Manifesto

cropped-beefjp.png
Hereby launching the Beef Janata Party. For the beef eaters, by the beef eaters, of the beef eaters. Beef haters are welcome once they go through a beef-wapsi ceremony (more on that later).
The Beefunist Manifesto
A spectre is haunting India — the spectre of Beefunism. All the powers of Aarsha bharatham have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Yogis and yoginis, PMs and CMs, local sanghis and other talibanists.
Where is the party in opposition that has not been decried as beefunistic by its opponents in power? Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of beefunism, against the more advanced opposition parties, as well as against its reactionary adversaries?
Two things result from this fact:
I. Beefunism is already acknowledged by all Sangh Pariwar powers to be itself a power.
II. It is high time that Beefunists should openly, in the face of the whole world, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Beefunism with a manifesto of the party itself.
To this end, Beefunists of various nationalities have assembled in Kerala and sketched this manifesto, to be published in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya…and all the hundreds of other languages in India.
The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of glass struggles.
The modern Sanghi society that has sprouted from the ruins of feudal society has not done away with class antagonisms. It has but established new classes, new conditions of oppression, new forms of struggle in place of the old ones.
Our epoch, the epoch of the beef haters, possesses, however, this distinct feature: it has simplified class antagonisms. Society as a whole is more and more splitting up into two great hostile camps, into two great classes directly facing each other — Beefunists and Beefhaters.
But not only has the beefhaters forged the weapons that bring death to itself; it has also called into existence the men who are to wield those weapons — the modern hungry class — the beefunists.
The Beefunists fight for the attainment of the immediate aims, for the enforcement of the momentary interests of the hungry class; but in the movement of the present, they also represent and take care of the future of that movement.
The Beefunists disdain to conceal their views and aims. They openly declare that their ends can be attained only by the forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Beefunistic revolution. The Beefeaters have nothing to lose but a few bones. They have a world to win.
Hungry people of all states, UNITE! Bring in your beef eating friends!
The Beef-wapsi ceremony
The beef hater has to polish off a plate full of Beef Dry Fry followed by a plate of Beef Ulathiyath and wash it down with three pegs of whiskey, bottoms up. Followed by this, the beef hater has to head bang and mosh to Pantera’s ‘Cowboys from hell’ and Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Bulls on parade’.
The beef hater will then be given one week to complete reading D.N.Jha’s Myth of the holy cow, published by Navayana. A written test and interview will be held in the second week, with questions drawn from this book. Those scoring 10 out of 10 will be welcomed with a plate of ‘naadan’ beef fry and a ticket to Beef’s Own Country, Kerala.
Guided tour of Beef’s own country
The tour will start from the high ranges of Wayanad, known for the best beef fry in the world, snaking down through each district with pit stops at some of the amazing thattukadas along the way. You will be introduced to different combinations possible with beef, from the legendary Kerala Parotta to puttu. At the backwaters of Alappuzha, you will get to savour beef and toddy on a houseboat trip, with additional stops at hidden kallushaaps. In Thiruvananthapuram, you can stretch your legs by the beachside, sip a beer and have beef biriyani.
